Malaysia Men’s Team moves on to the Main Qualifiers of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup
The Malaysia Men’s Team moves on to the Main Qualifiers of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup by finishing second at the Eastern Region Pre Qualifiers held in Thailand from the 26th of November to 1st of December 2018.

The top four teams join Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Bahrain as the eight Division B teams who will join 16 Division A teams (Australia, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Philippines , Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Syria, Iraq, India and Qatar) to make up 24 teams who will participate in the Main Qualifiers.
The 24 teams will be split into six groups of four, with home and away qualification games being played from November 2019 to 2021 to determine the 16 teams who will participate at the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Championship.
The top two teams of each group will automatically qualify with the six third placed teams playing an extra round to determine the remaining four teams.
