The 4th Seri Mutiara Cup tips off today. The tournament will be held at MABA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur from the 2nd to 7th of October 2018.
Eight teams will challenge for the right to be champions of this year’ edition including Malaysia Matrix, Macau Black Bears, Hong Kong Eastern, KCC Egis (South Korea), BC Partizan (Serbia), Illawarra Hawks (Australia), Fubon Braves (Taiwan) and the Texas All Stars (U.S.A)
The opening day games will be:-
Hong Kong Eastern vs Illawara Hawks -2.00 PM
Eastern, fresh from their Hong Kong A1 Championship victory will be reinforced by new imports, 7 ft 5 Samuel Deguara and Trey Gilder and the returning 2016/2017 ABL World Import MVP, Marcus Elliott. It will an interesting match up against the NBL Australia side including two players with NBA experience, Australian veteran David Andersen and Cedric Jackson. The Hawks will also feature key locals, Kevin White, Todd Blanchfield and Andrew Ogilvy. This will be the first time a NBL Australia team plays in Malaysia
KCC Egis vs BC Partizan – 4.00 PM
KCC Egis who are five time KBL Champions will feature the only Korean player in NBA History, the 7 ft 3 Ha Seung Jin and key Korean National Team playears Lee Jyung Hun and Kim Min Goo together with former NBA Player, Marquis Teague. BC Partizan, a well known Serbian club will be sending a youth team, but with a 7 players above 200 cm and no one shorter than 190 cm, the team will definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
Fubon Braves vs Texas All Stars – 6.00 PM
The SBL Taiwan team returns for their second year in a row, led by National Team players Jet Chang and Tsai Wen Cheng, together with the younger brother of Jeremy Lin, Joseph Lin. They will also line up their new signing, the current SBL Rookie Of The Year, Steven Guinchard who is also a former player of Hong Kong Eastern. The Texas All Stars will feature young talents from development teams across the state of Texas. The team will be led by key players, Xavier Johnson, John Bohannon and Joshua Newkirk. The Head Coach of the Texas All Stars will be former China National Team Head Coach, Bob Donewald Jr
Malaysia Matrix vs Macau Black Bears -9.00 PM
The home team will feature import players Tyrell Corbin, Jeff Viernes, JJ Avilla, Anthony Walker, Peter Jok and Jaleel Roberts. Roberts was brought in as a backup in view of Jok facing minor injuries during training. The team will feature younger upcoming Malaysian players in view of injuries to mainstay locals, Kuek Tian Yuan, Ivan Yeo, Teo Kok Hou, Mak Lok Seng and Ting Chun Hong. ASEAN Basketball League team Macau Black Bears (formerly known as Chong Son Kungfu) will feature returning Import MVPs, Anthony Tucker and Mikh McKinney as they look to tip off their pre season preparation with a strong statement victory against the home team.

Daily Ticket prices from October 2nd to October 4th will be RM10 while the weekend games on October 6th and 7th will be RM25. All days of the tournament will offer free admission for 12 years old and below.

即将点燃战火的2018年珍轩杯国际篮球邀请赛将在吉隆坡大马篮总室内体育馆隆重开打，主队金群利首战澳门黑熊力争开门红。本届珍轩杯将于10月2至7日在吉隆坡大马篮总室内体育馆举行，共有8支球队参赛，其中澳洲职篮劲旅伊拉瓦拉鹰队、德州全明星队以及塞尔维亚BC游击队实力强盛，主场作战的马来西亚金群利聘请多名外援助阵，以全力抗衡一众强旅。第一天的揭幕战由香港东方龙狮对战澳洲伊拉瓦拉鹰队，签下7尺长人迪瓜拉后禁区实力大增，加上2016/17东南亚篮球联赛MVP埃利奥特、吉尔德以及汉尼拔等外援留守，东方龙狮整体实力不俗。虽然伊拉瓦拉鹰队阵容大变脸，但随着安德森、白兰奇菲尔德、控卫杰特、以及早年打过NBA曾效力骑士、奇才及马刺的杰克逊等实力悍将加盟后，球队实力有增无减，被视为夺冠热门。第二场比赛有塞尔维亚BC游击队对垒韩国全州KCC宙斯盾，虽然派遣二军出征本届珍轩杯，但拥有多名优秀年轻球员的游击队或许可以制造惊喜；在河昇镇以及李荣贤领衔下，全州宙斯盾绝对可说时韩国职业篮球的代表，这场塞韩大战也是首日赛事的焦点之一。第三场比赛由美国德州全明星对垒台湾富邦勇士，这场赛事后现场将迎来本届珍轩杯的开幕仪式。德州全明星队是参与NBA发展联盟德州传奇队的班底，由前中国国家队主教练邓华德掌军，此次来马尽遣精兵良将，其中以约翰逊以及纽柯克为队内代表球星。去年来马参赛受到追捧的富邦勇士，阵中最备受关注的球员肯定是林书豪的亲弟林书纬，同时签进的新援奥顿曾经效力奥兰多魔术、俄克拉荷马雷霆以及费城76人。主队马来西亚金群利将在明晚对战澳门黑熊，在新援加里尔加盟后，金群利实力得到进一步的提升，有望在首战开门红拿下胜利。金群利领队林兆兴表示，今年珍轩杯的水平是历届最高，多名国手级有伤在身缺战，导致队伍人员不齐，而且外援仍有伤的情况，唯有聘请6名外援助阵，否则根本无力与同组另三支队伍抗衡。“美美”陈俊宏、队长郭添源、麦洛城、张国豪与杨艾温等人缺战，主力外援之一的彼得约克也在训练中触发旧伤，金群利唯有临时引进多一名外援加里尔，联同上个月参与国际邀请赛的杰夫与安东尼沃克，去年主将艾维拉、此前在印尼联赛效力的泰雷尔科宾组军，全力抗衡各路强旅。澳门黑熊队是东南亚职业篮球联赛新军（ABL），他们的前身是忠信功夫队。他们队中都是澳门本土以及香港籍的球员，4名实力突出的外援或许能够帮助首次参赛的澳门黑熊突破重围。本届赛会预料将场场看头十足，门票价格是周二至四的小组赛10令吉、周六和周日门票25令吉；12岁以下儿童免费进场。
